School Experiences
High-energy assemblies and guided conversations help students examine the power, cost, and long-term impact of everyday choices.
Meet Scott Chevalier—DW&Co. real estate agent and Executive Director of Powerhouse Youth Project—and discover the local work helping young people find direction, build confidence, and prepare for life beyond high school.
Scott Chevalier serves as Executive Director of Powerhouse Youth Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people discover their purpose and make informed choices about their futures.
Scott is also a Florida real estate licensee currently registered with DW&Co., Real Estate. His nonprofit responsibilities are separate from the brokerage services he provides through DW&Co., but both reflect a deeply personal commitment to serving Central Florida families.
Through school programs, mentoring, career exposure, and practical preparation for adulthood, Scott and the Powerhouse team work upstream— reaching students while encouragement, opportunity, and a trusted voice can still change the direction of a life.
Powerhouse begins with a simple belief: every student has passion and purpose, and every young person needs someone willing to help them recognize it. The organization creates opportunities for students to connect today’s choices with tomorrow’s possibilities.
Powerhouse brings students, educators, mentors, public servants, and local professionals together to make life after high school feel visible, understandable, and attainable.
High-energy assemblies and guided conversations help students examine the power, cost, and long-term impact of everyday choices.
Workshops introduce career planning, financial literacy, leadership, workplace expectations, and skills students can use immediately.
Students meet people who can answer questions, model different possibilities, and help turn an uncertain future into a practical plan.
Powerhouse teaches students that identity and direction are not reserved for people who already have every advantage. They can be discovered, developed, and strengthened through consistent support.
Every student has a passion and a purpose.
Everyone needs someone in their life to help them achieve that purpose.
Every choice carries a cost and helps shape what comes next.
Students describe Powerhouse as encouraging, educational, welcoming, and relevant to real life. Their feedback repeatedly points to greater confidence, clearer communication, and a stronger belief in what is possible.
Students report feeling more prepared to make thoughtful decisions about their futures.
Participants value learning from people who share practical experience, not just theory.
Many leave with greater confidence that their present circumstances do not have to define their destination.
Hear educators, community partners, and participants describe what happens when students are given consistent encouragement, meaningful opportunities, and people who believe in their potential.
The Pathway to Purpose strategy gives students a practical framework for exploring who they are, where they may be headed, and which relationships and resources can help them move forward.
Explore interests, strengths, personality, and the experiences that shape identity.
Connect personal qualities with realistic career pathways and opportunities.
Build relationships with mentors, professionals, educators, and community resources.
Planned Lake Square Mall Campus
Powerhouse Youth Project is preparing an offsite campus at Lake Square Mall. The planned space is intended to create a welcoming, accessible environment where area students can meet mentors, explore career paths, develop practical skills, and continue building their Pathway to Purpose.
The organization hopes to open the campus as early as November 2026. Development schedules can change, and current opening information should be confirmed directly with Powerhouse.
